Maybe there wasn't much more...

I was going to say something else in that last blog but it has completely escaped me.

Make sure you check out those links down the sidebar there... even if it links back to your own blogspot.

Hmmmmmmmmmm..... where has my brain gone today?

Hair product and much, much more...

I went to Alia last night. Alia is a bar on Gertrude Street in Collingwood. And because I went to Alia, I now feel like talking about hair product. For those who aren't in the know - which would mean most of you reading this - hair product is a main topic of conversation in the Alia women's toilets.

I used to use gel in my hair. As I grew older, I grew to dislike that hard, crunchy feel to gelled hair yet I was still quite partial to the shiny look. So I moved on to a moulding cream. While I still got a crunchy result, it wasn't as hard as the gel.

Next came fudge. I think everyone's had a fudge experience. That was alright and smelled nice but fudge is not kind to dark hair and leaves a dandruff effect. Fudge wax... well really, who has time to emulsify the wax, let alone deal with the gross feeling on your hand everytime you touch your hair?

I may quite possibly have gone back to gel at this stage.

These days, I have a variety of hair product. I prefer using American Crew Fibre but once the hair gets a bit longer, the fibre doesn't really do much. So when the hair gets longer, or when I need it to stay styled for those extra few hours, I use D:Fi. i also have a moulding creme which I'm not particularly fond of because it's a bit too waxy for my liking.

She came, she saw, she went...

And now she's coming back again *next* Thursday!!!

What the....?

Yes, that's right. I had my property inspection yesterday and now the landlord would like to conduct a routine inspection so I have yet ANOTHER one next week. Do they not understand the concept of me having to work in order to pay the rent therefore it is highly unreasonable for them to ask me to take time off in consecutive weeks?

People these days...

Oh where, oh where has my property manager gone?

Well, well, well... I'm sitting here at home on a Thursday afternoon awaiting the arrival of my *new* property manager who will be here to carry out a routine inspection.

She has roughly 43 more minutes to arrive.

*taps foot impatiently*

I want to know what happened to my old skool property manager. More importantly, why did she leave without saying goodbye??? I'll be adding this to my list of Life's Little Mysteries. Not really. I don't have a list.

Circle of Life

Or whatever.

Yes, that's right. I'm going to see The Lion King in all it's glory at the Melbourne Zoo....

No, really, The Lion King on Ice.

Ok, ok, seriously... The Lion King Broadway Musical Spectacular. But not on Broadway, here in Melbourne at The Regent Theatre. It'll be my first time at the theatre here in Melbourne. How exciting.

I'm not missing this one...

By the way, I heard Margaret Cho was fabulous. Of course.

Congratulations are in order...

To Sarah and Phi, who were married on Saturday, 23 July, 2005.

YAY!

Meanwhile, back at the farm...

I am not going to Margaret Cho.

*tsai*

Who is Stripperella???

Last night as I was reading the TV Guide, I came across this program:

"STRIPPERELLA: Stripperella must face off against her first threat, Dr. Cesarean, a plastic surgeon who's injecting beautiful models with deadly implants."

With a description like this, my interest was sparked. Could it be a documentary? Hmmmm.

Unfortunately, due to the second attack on London's public transport system, Stripperella was not shown as scheduled. I shall have to ask my insider at Channel 9 to give me the goss.

Enquiring minds want to know.

*shakes fist*

What a terrible, terrible day...

For some reason, my Shuffle has not wanted to accept the MOTHERLODE of 80s music (courtesy of Jane) that I wanted to put on it and has caused a tremendous amount of grief to dear old me. Thankfully, it is now sorted and I will not have to travel home listening to other humans ramble on or the ts ts ts of someone else's WORKING iPod.

My girls are sick. They are on their deathbeds. Some sort of virus has struck them both down, I'm not sure if it's the same virus but I shall be recommending crackers and flat 7-Up for what ails them.

This evil lurgy is affecting my time in the house as it has taken away my regular Thursday night dinner date with young Jimmy. In addition, it has made Chase unable to hold a conversation. For these reasons, I am nominating Virus for two points for eviction.

Save Kate. Rita be gone!

It's been 10 days...

Since my last post. I'm actually surprised that I'm back here so soon seeing as I had a bout of verbal diarrhea the last time.

Anyhoo, I don't particularly have much to say. Let's see... I'm still tired.

Maybe we'll do a list of songs:

Jude's Top Something iPod playlist:
  1. The Scientist - Coldplay (this is so much easier to listen to when you're not watching the video clip)
  2. Grace - Jeff Buckley (love the slappy guitar bit)
  3. Best of You - Foo Fighters
  4. Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley (my funeral song)
  5. Mr Brightside - The Killers (i know so many people like this)
  6. Send Me an Angel - Real Life (love the 80s, embrace the 80s)
  7. Shiver - Coldplay
  8. I'll Carry You - Hi Fi Mike (it's kinda creepy)
  9. I Like It - Narcotic Thrust
  10. I was Made for Lovin' You - Queen of Japan
  11. Da Hype - Junior Jack
  12. Since You've Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson (just shush)
  13. Rock Star (Jason Nevins Mix) - N.E.R.D. (even tho it comes from a movie as daft as 'blue crush')
  14. Galvanize - The Chemical Bros (my finger is on the button)
  15. Why do you love me? - Garbage (Shirley's back... hot!)
  16. Love u some more - Cevin Fisher (all time favourite... go the angle grinder sample)
  17. Deeper Water - PMT (breaks... nice)
  18. Riding on a Storm - Timo Maas (i always wondered what this was called but never asked anyone)
  19. Crazy in Love - Beyonce (it's really hard to listen to this song and walk at the same time without launching into Beyonce's bootylicious walk... not really)
  20. Oh My God - Pink feat. Peaches (I don't actually have this on my iPod but I wish i did).

See ya later....

This is a ghost of Christmas past....

And I'm not referring to your complexion either, Wendy.

Kekekekekekeke.....

I kill me. Cos that means you can't.

YAY!

I just bought tickets to Margaret Cho's Assassin Tour. She's playing at the Antheneum Theatre here in Melbourne on July 23rd... I really hope I don't have to work that night.

Woo... a smaller font. Let's go with this for a while...

Pringles and Jimmy....

How freaked out does Pringles look???

I count these for a living...

And it wasn't even hallowe'en...

I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request to remove this picture from my blogspot.

This is my sister, Jane.

Joyce and her lidl mate

This was taken ages ago but it's one of my most favourite pictures of my sister, Joyce.

Here's another photo of Chase...

This is Pringles....

This is Jimmy's kitten.

I no longer have a pet so I must now post pictures of other peoples animals.

Happy Canada Day!

And finally for today... (but not really)

I had a bit of a scare last night because when I arrived home, there was a 'While you were at work...' postcard in my letterbox asking me to pick up a registered post item.

Knowing that I haven't bought anything on eBay, and after checking with a few people as to whether or not they sent me anything, I started to panic a little bit thinking that I was being sued or even worse, Reader's Digest had entered me in another sweepstakes.

So this morning, I went to the Post Office and picked up my item and lo and behold, it turns out I won one of these http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zenmicro/.

So the moral of the story is, people actually do win contests on the internet. I won this through the ninemsn 'win an mp3 player a day' contest. I haven't won anything in ages. I can't even remember the last thing I won. It's very exciting.

Retail therapy... now can someone please tell me what I need therapy for?

I've been doing some shopping... I recently bought the special 3-disc version of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl'. Part of the reason why I bought it was so I could watch it and possibly understand what the hell Jimmy is saying to me half the time.

I also bought some clothes.... a puffer vest (brown and gold, what was i thinking?) and just a zip up sweater thingo (black).

But my most favourite purchase this week was 'Red Dawn' on DVD. I don't know if many people remember this movie but it has Patrick Swayze, Lea Thompson, Jennifer Grey and I think C Thomas Howell in it. And others. It's about Russians attacking the US and this group of high school students who call themselves the Wolverines (named after their high school team name, i think) fight back.

Today I'm either going to pick up 'House of Flying Daggers' or 'The Outsiders'.

Stay gold, Ponyboy...

And here's another one....

This here is Hayley, a.k.a. Jimmy. She too is one of my best friends. Normally, I don't condone the consumption of toiletries such as Q-Tips but if you look at it another way, at least she's not shoving it deep into her ear canal and poking herself in the brain.

And now i can add pictures....

This is one of my best friends, Chase. I don't know how she would feel about me posting her picture on my blog but whatever, I don't care.

Actually, now that I think about it, 'whatever, I don't care' would be her response.
