Whilst on holidays, lounging leisurely in front of the idiot box trying to dodge talk shows, I discovered that Metamucil comes in tablet form now.
(Not suppository-form, McTavish.)
I've never seen the ad for Metamucil tablets on night time TV so I wonder if it's a little secret for daytime television watching folk only.
Are 9 to 5ers (7 to 3ers, 11 to 7ers, whatever) not entitled to the more easily ingested pill?
Must they endure the original or orange flavour? (Now about orange flavour... that deserves it's own blog at a later date)
And about the smooth texture business... Even the woman on the ad seems to be gagging! How smooth can it be?

One more thing...
They finally fixed the glass at the front entrance.
The building maintenance guy came on Tuesday and swept up the mess and then some glaziers came yesterday and replaced the broken pane.
I'm surprised the morons didn't test the strength of the new glass last night. They were, however, running around slamming their own windows shut screaming 'Hurricane Rita's here!!!' because we had a thunderstorm last night.
*shakes head*

One more sleep!!!
And I'm on holidays for a week! YAY!!!
I have no plans to do anything or go anywhere... I just don't want to come to work for a week. Is that so much to ask?!?!?!
Actually, I do have one thing to do and that's work out how to use my Creative Micro Zen mp3 player. It's been sitting there for months going 'Use me... ditch the shuffle... come on!'
The darn thing is just so much heavier than the shuffle!
Anyway... counting down... 9 hours to go.

The end of an era
Everyone else (in Australia) is writing about it so I'm going to as well.
Australia lost the Ashes last night. Game over, red rover.
It's a travesty.
But really, did *anyone* expect Australia to score 342 runs in 18 overs before play was called off due to bad light and a draw declared? That's a run rate of 19 runs per over! Are they INSANE?

Well, well, well... Last night was the Careers Expo at the University of Melbourne. This 'event' was hosted by the student club of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning. James and I went along to, I suppose, market our company to future quantity surveyors.
I'll tell you what, two hours of meeting and greeting after already being at work for 9 hours just isn't what the doctor ordered. And these shoes weren't meant for standing in.
Fortunately, I made an early decision not to put any of my business cards out on the table because I'm sure I'd have a lot more to complain about once the influx of CVs comes in, closely followed by the follow-up phone calls.
To top it all off, as I was trying to get home, I was threatened with a $100 fine for walking on the tram tracks! Ok... Admittedly, I was in a tram marshalling area but really, if they don't want people mistakingly walking into that area, maybe they should close off the fencing. Anyway, I just kept walking and said, 'Sorry, not from these parts!' They can't fine you if they can't be bothered walking after you!
I reckon it's a very clever ploy of Yarra Trams or Metlink or whoever it is to generate revenue by building a tram depot right outside a university where there are many foreign students. Imagine how many $100 fines are issued per day... Amazing.
